           Sister of the Month
~ Meet St. Mary Jo Yutt ~

On most Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday
mornings, for a period of time Sister Mary Jo Yutt,
OSF, can be found offering a pro-life witness
outside Whole Women’s Health of Peoria. The
93 year old started to pray and picket in 1988, by
carrying a sign that would tell the truth about abortion.
Sister Mary Jo, professed her vows on June 13, 1948 and   celebrated her 70th Jubilee this June.
Her long ministry has included work as an educator,   bookkeeper  and housekeeper. Her assignments have taken her   all over the Peoria Diocese including St. Philomena, Guardian   Angel Home, St. Joseph’s Home, St. Francis Hospital and Bergan   High School.
